Mikey Manville is back with a new story to tell. Three incredible sessions over three years at Clodock, John Akerd’s Chicago-based studio, have culminated in 25 recorded songs all written and performed by Manville. Four songs include the sonic wizardry of legendary pedal steel guitarist Bob Egan (Blue Rodeo, Wilco). Together, Akred, Egan and Manville have melded a musical journey that is “Broken Arms”. After several months of agonizing picking and choosing, 13 songs were selected by Manville and Mastered by the “Tone King”, Graemme Brown. Together these songs best represent the personal attachments and detachments of life, love and the human condition from the edgy mind of troubadour Mikey Manville.
